OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Precise Points Dry Needling Courses were developed and are proudly taught by Dr. Gino Lo Pilato, who is an AHPRA registered Osteopath and AHPRA registered Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. Gino works as an Osteopath and Acupuncturist in the centre of Sydney, in a busy practice in Surry Hills.
He completed four years of studies in TCM at the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and went on to complete a 6 month internship at Nanchang Integrated Hospital of Chinese and Western Medicine, China, focusing on treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
Gino then completed his Bachelor and Masters in Osteopathy, where he then went on to teach anatomy in the Wet Labs at the Biomedical Department at the University of Western Sydney, for 7 years.
Extensive experience in dissection, gave him a greater understanding of the structures that lie beneath the skin, and the importance of a solid anatomical understanding of the body when applying Needling to a person in vivo.
Through teaching anatomy Gino has refined the way that anatomy can be taught and learnt, and these techniques are used in the Precise Points Dry Needling Courses and then applied to Dry Needling techniques.
Anatomy, and all its structures, is an exciting and wonderful part of being a manual therapist, and this enthusiasm of anatomy, and the importance of it when applying techniques to a human being are emphasised and made easy within the course.
Gino has a special interest in the integration of manual therapy and Eastern and Western needling techniques. He uses an anatomically accepted approach to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal and systemic conditions using a variety of Needling techniques techniques.
These techniques have been learnt from schools in China, mentors in Australia, and most importantly from practicing everyday in the clinical setting where theory and practice have to be combined to bring about the most effective, comfortable and efficient treatment results.
On completion of this course all participants will have the skill and confidence to treat any condition that presents within the muscloskeletal setting using an array of techniques that can be applied to the individual to achieve results.
The course was designed to make quality CPD affordable, but also interesting and practical, so that theory and techniques taught can be easily transferred to the clinical setting.
With a solid understanding and a good technique, the Dry Needling techniques taught can be used as a complimentary adjunct or even replacement treating musculoskeletal conditions for Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Massage Therapists and GP’s.
The Precise Points Dry Needling course will give the participant skills that will enhance treatment results, inspire treatment and passion for your profession, and save your hands from effects of a life time of manual therapy.
